Paper Reflection.

I need to make sure that i write a good introduction because it is the only part that will make the reader either read it till the end or just stop there. I also need to watch out what words i am using and if i am writing what i mean correctly. In general my paragraph structure is not bad but i still need to improve my skills to write everything correctly and the way i mean it.

Advertisment. Homework due Wednesday.

Introduction.

'Does your airline decide where you can and can't do business?'. The united ad is a reminder ad and based on desire. The logo with its slogan is clearly remarkable on the ad. It will be discussed about the rhetorical (visual and literary) and propaganda devices, that in fact are all under the A.I.D.A. motif, about which it will be talked too.

Body #1.

  • What is used to attract attention?
  • Attraction is being attracted by the 'cartoon' or drawing included in the ad
  • Rule of thirds - business man in the middle of ad - makes it weak, but tells us about the man more

Body #2.
  • What is used to develop interest?
  • The title in big letters develops interest, which is a rhetorical question at the same time.

Body #3.
  • What develops desire?
  • The main text develps desire as the audiece starts to read it.
  • The words 'flight' and/or 'cities or places' are being repeated, which also develops desire.

Body #4.
  • What in the ad moves the audience to action?
  • First of all the web link given at the end of the text moves the audience to action and on top of that the slogan might help as it says 'It's time to fly.'.

Conclusion.

In conclusion, this ad is trying you to desire to fly with their airlines but also or more to make you feel bad and fear about it because the audience automatically thinks about being 'cheated on' as their own airline may not provide what this airline provides them. First it gets your attraction with the 'toy plane' figure, which represents your airline taking you to only few places. Later, with the help of the rhetorical question it gets your interest, following with developing your desire with the text and at the end moving you to action with a web link.

Introduction example for the 'Accenture' ad

Go on. Be a tiger. The Accenture ad is a reminder ad and it advertises consulting. It has a logo and a slogan to make people recognize the ad. In this essay, it will be explained how the ad uses rhetorical devices: visual and literary. It will also describe how the ad uses A.I.D.A. to develop the viewer’s desire the product/idea/service.
